Fount is a great little bookmarklet which will tell you which font you can see on a website. All you do is copy the bookmarklet into your bookmarks and whenever you want to know what a font is click the bookmark and hover over the font in question, as long as it’s a web font and not an image it will tell you the font name, size and weight.

WebPageTest lets you check the loading time of a website from different different geographical locations, it also loads the page twice to see the difference in first and second time visit load times.

GTmetrix

GTmetrix uses Google Page Speed and Yahoo! YSlow to grade your site’s performance and provides actionable recommendations to fix these issues.

Load Impact

Load Impact runs simple load tests with up to 50 concurrent, simulated users to see how well your site can cope. There are also other options to test with more users should the site be likely to gain high amounts of traffic.

While there are a lot of tools that allow you to adjust the size of a browser window automatically, Resize my browser has the useful option to include or exclude the outer part of the browser (tool bars, scrollbars..etc.) within the resize. There are also a few preset sizes for devices such as the iphone, ipad and different screen resolutions as well as the ability to create your own.

CSS3 PIE

CSS3 PIE is a great project that can help designers and developers use some of the features within css3, without having to do much of a work around for them to display correctly within Internet Explorer.

PIE stands for Progressive Internet Explorer and has been developed to make IE 6-8 capable of recognising some of the decoration properties within css3, it currently has full or partial support for the following CSS3 features:

border-radius
box-shadow
border-image
multiple background images
linear-gradient as background image

The Ultimate CSS Gradient Generator is an amazing little tool to help with creating cross-browser CSS3 gradients. The code that it generates will work in most modern browsers but to add icing to it there is also a fallback gradient for IE, which you can preview on the site to make sure it look correct before copying the code.

Its very simple to use, working similar to the gradient tool in most graphics editors, and the css panel will always show the latest code for the gradient that is being generated.
