A Little About Web Design Pond

Welcome to Web Design Pond and to the first post within this little bloggy site that I will be calling home. I am very excited that I have finally gotten around to creating this site as it has been a long time in the making.
What to Expect
This blog will simply be a place where I can give my opinions on various aspects of web design, share tips and tutorials and also give away a few design related freebies. I have broken the blog into five main sections, they are quite self explanatory but just to fill a bit of space in this first post, here is what to expect to in them:
Articles
A place to share my opinion on different areas of web design, have a few rants and really just for anything that doesn’t fit into any of the other sections below.
Tips & Tutorials
Code snippets, in-depth tutorials, tips and general help for web design and development.
Inspiration
Showcases of great design work for various aspects of web design.
Freebies
Web templates ranging from basic coding examples to fully coded web designs. As well as Photoshop brushes, images, icons, illustrations and other bits and bobs. Some of these will be for personal use and other will be free to use commercially as well.
Resources
With a great variety of useful sites and tools out there this section will share some of the ones that I find helpful.
At the moment these sections are a little empty, but soon they will be full of ideas, opinions and useful advice.
About Me
My name is Helen, some might know me from various forums where I post under the name of Dizi. I’m a web and graphic designer from lovely sunny England and have been coding websites for almost 11 years. What I love most about this industry is that I am always learning as it is always changing and evolving and also meeting other designers and developers that are just as passionate as I am.
If you are interested in seeing some of my work then why not visit my personal portfolio site Dizi Designs.
Stay Tuned
Hopefully you will find something on this site that tickles your fancy and encourages you to keep coming back. Please subscribe, follow the site on twitter or maybe even bookmark it.
I’m always interested in hearing others opinions, so please don’t be afraid to leave a comment
